Spin fishing

Lately there have been more and more articles on fishing European sea bass with artificial lures appearing in specialist journals-written by old hats and so-called experts describing the best artificial baits. However, the question on how and when to best use them remains.

Its time to reveal the secret.

Tides and time of day play one of the most important roles. European sea bass eat more during the turn of tides, from high to low as well as from low to high. Yet, its still possible to trick the spiny-finned knight errand of the seas with artificial baits even when currents have come to a stand-still.

Where?

Where the tide hits obstacles flushing in food for crabs, prawn, worms and small fish, you will find European sea basses potential hunting grounds.  Be it at the end of or between sand banks, at piers, big rocks, groynes or rocky shores- if the food is right, the European sea bass will hunt after it.

It doesnt always have to be far off from the beach: where the surf breaks, you will find the spiny-finned knights errand on patrol, even when the waves hit the sand right in front of your feet.
